Terms and Conditions
Welcome to plushPLAY atelier. When you shop with me, you’re supporting an independent Brooklyn-based studio. By using this site or starting a custom project with me, you’re agreeing to the following "house rules."
1. General Conditions
I’m a small operation and reserve the right to refuse service or cancel orders if needed. Because I’m based in Brooklyn, these terms are guided by the laws of the State of New York.
2. The Nature of My Work
- Handmade & Small Batch: Many items here are handcrafted or produced in small runs. Slight variations in color, texture, or finish are a natural part of the process and are not considered defects.
- Made-to-Order & Pre-Order: Items labeled "Made-to-Order" are created specifically for you after your purchase. "Pre-Order" items ship on or around the date specified. By ordering, you acknowledge the production lead times and shipping schedules stated on the product page.
- Custom Commissions: Custom projects are a collaborative process. Once we agree on a design and production begins, the order is locked in and cannot be canceled or refunded.
3. Custom Design & Revisions
To ensure your custom piece is exactly what you envisioned, the following process applies:
- Revisions: Each custom project includes two rounds of minor design revisions (e.g., small color or layout tweaks).
- Scope: Significant design pivots or additional rounds of changes requested after work has begun may result in additional fees, which we will discuss before moving forward.
- Approval: Once you provide final digital approval of a design, I am not responsible for errors (such as typos or color choices) that were present in the approved proof.
4. Shipping, Fulfillment & International Orders
- Fulfillment: Ready-to-ship items typically ship within 3–5 business days. If your order contains both in-stock and pre-order items, the entire order will ship together once the pre-order item is ready.
- International Orders (Customs & Duties): The recipient is responsible for any import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees assessed by their local customs office. These charges are not included in the shipping cost paid at checkout.
- Abandonment & Refusal: If an international shipment is refused or returned due to unpaid customs fees or an incorrect address, the customer is responsible for the original shipping charges and any return shipping fees incurred. These will be deducted from any applicable refund.
- Delivery Address: Please double-check your shipping address. plushPLAY atelier cannot be responsible for items lost due to an incorrect address provided at checkout.
5. Returns & Exchanges
- Standard Items: Returns for ready-to-ship items are accepted within 7 days of delivery if the item is in its original, unused condition. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.
- Ineligible Items: Because custom, made-to-order, and sale items are created or discounted specifically for you, they are non-refundable and ineligible for return or exchange.
- Damages: If an item arrives damaged, please email studio@plushplayatelier.com with photos of the packaging and product within 48 hours of delivery so I can coordinate a replacement or refund.
6. Intellectual Property
I put a lot of heart into my designs and photography. All content on this site belongs to plushPLAY atelier. You may not reproduce, redistribute, or "drop-ship" my designs without my express written permission.
7. Limitation of Liability
I make my items to be enjoyed, but please use them as intended. plushPLAY atelier isn’t liable for any mishaps, injuries, or damages that occur once the items are in your possession.
